Location: South West of Cusco.

Terrain: Hilly. This can include paved roads, grasslands and water ways, stony ground and even snow.

Climate: Very cold all year. In the daytime, with the sun, it can be mild.

Transport and access: From Cusco by local bus to Tinqui or with adventure agencies. Then, you can walk, ride a horse or for the most daring use a mountain bike.

Recommendation: Solar protection for the skin and lips. Aniseed liqueur for the cold. Hiring of a local guide is a basic requirement. Remember that you will be crossing passes of almost 5000 m. A good tent and thermal clothes. Also you can take bathing clothes as there are 2 hot spring swimming pools.
