Manu Park

Location: The Manú is found on the road to Paucartambo and after passing the Abra (Pass) de Acanayoc at 3600 m.a.s.l. We can go via Pisac or Huambutío.

Terrain: A good gravel road that deteriorates as the forest is reached.

Climate: Cold from Cusco until after the pass of Tres Cruces and then temperate to humid and warm in the Forest.

Transport and access: From Cusco there are several options: in light aircraft $125 passage one way. In local bus to Paucartambo, 6 to 7 hours, with adventure agencies.
There are those who prefer doing the whole trip by bicycle which lasts between 4 and 6 days only up to Atalaya. If later you want to continue you will have to do it by boat which requires previous contact with the boatman.

Recommendation: Take clothes for cold weather and repellent for mosquitoes; it is also advisable to use the vaccine that lasts for 10 years, for yellow fever, 10 days before travelling.
